Something Slightly Different Today

I read my first book of the New Year last night, about Natalie Wood written by her daughter, and I wrote about it here. I could have probably written more, or better, but it's at least some writing that's not my professional stuff, a quick music write-up, or a Job Blog. 

I would like to think this year will be better than the last, which was brutal (to varying degrees) for all of us. Some people are betting this year will be worse, the astrology folks are saying whatever, but I have an okay feeling about things. January is not one of my favorite months, but there is a new Joan Didion book coming out in a few weeks, so I'm using that as my guidepost to get through the month.
